EKSISTENSI MORAL DALAM PENDIDIKAN

Abstract: this article describes purpose and existence of moral education in educational efforts. For that we need to look back on the goal of education is creating a moral person, independent, mature and mature, honest, noble, virtuous noble character, behave politely, shameless and arrogant, and not concerned with the interests of the nation rather than only concerned with personal or group interests. How to create a moral education that is the changes to the measure of success for thechers and students in teaching-learning process should not only fixated on numbers alone, but more than that, the moral improvement for educators and officials to be role of a model for learners.
Abstrak: artikel ini mendeskripsikan tujuan pendidikan dan eksistensi moral dalam upaya pendidikan. Untuk itu kita perlu menengok kembali tujuan pendidikan yaitu menciptakan pribadi yang bermoral, mandiri, matang dan dewasa, jujur, berakhlak mulia, berbudi pekerti luhur, berprilaku santun, tahu malu dan tidak arogan, serta mementingkan kepentingan bangsa bukannya hanya mementingkan kepentingan pribadi atau golongan. Cara mewujudkan pendidikan yang bermoral yaitu perubahan terhadap ukuran keberhasilan bagi guru dan siswa dalam proses belajar-mengajar jangan hanya terpaku pada angka-angka saja tetapi lebih dari itu, peningkatan moral pendidik dan pejabat agar dapat dijadikan role of model bagi peserta didik.
