Harmoni Relasi Sosial Umat Muslim dan Hindu di Malang Raya

Basically every religion never taught its follower to hurt other people with different religion. Unfortunately religions that taught peace often in reality become an instrument to legitimate evil action (such as disturbing, hating, war) even killing other people who had different beliefs. Fortunately, good relations among people who had different religions still existed in Malang. Moslems and Hindu’s followers lived in harmony. This fact was interesting to study in order to reveal and describe the kinds of cooperation between moslems and Hinches followers in creating tolerance in religious life. This research was useful for Indonesia nation integrity. This research used qualitative approach and case study design. The design was aimed to get a theory which had more general application to cases of harmonization of relations between religious communities, especially Muslims and Hindus. The result of the research revealed that there were four aspects maintaining the harmony of religious life between moslems and Hindu’s followers in Malang, namely: village activities, national activities, religious activities, and activities of maintaining local culture
