WACANA KYAI KOTA MALANG TENTANG PROFESI WANITA
DI PUBLIK “BIDANG INDUSTRI, JASA RENTAN DAN JASA BERAT”

Abstract: Discourse of Kyai (Muslim elergy) about woman public profession (industries, light service, and heavy service) is assumed to be three categories : (1) Conservative Kyai has opinion that woman is unnecessary to work in public service because it will result many negative and harmful effect. (2) Adaptive Kyai proposes that woman is allowed to work in public sevice on condition that she can protect herself and she has purpose to help economic family. (3) Democratic Kyai has opinion that woman may work in public service on condition that it will useful not only for herself but also for family and society, beside that she must keep to perform Islamic teaching. That different opinion is caused by defferent perspective, approach, and literature.
