GENDER DALAM PERSPEKTIF TEORI SOSIAL BUDAYA DAN ISLAM

Abstract: Gender is different role, function, and responsibility between man and woman as the result of social-culture construction, and it can change according to the growth of age. The variety of thought about gender relation concept is the intellectual treasure need to perceived in a wise manner to create justice and wise gender relation, and to made disappear imbalance relation and role between man and woman in various life sectors and level.
The teaching and teh lesson of Islam respect and appreciate woman position, so that in understanding gender position in al-Quran dan Hadist must be proportional and flexible, to obtain Islamic idealism in realizing egalitarianism of man and woman, and omitted practice of hegemony and superiority.
